Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Belfast .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Belfast Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

Loved it. The host, Abiodun was just brilliant. I thought it might have been awkward but he made it so enjoyable. The introduction was great, it was lovely to learn about lines and composition. He spent the right amount of time talking about aperature, iso and shutter speed then let us crack on and then would bring us back together as a group to review our pictures. I loved the praise and found the critique helpful

Arrived a little late due to traffic and trying to get parked nearby, Eventually made it over to where Obi was running the session after ringing him. Brief intro amongst everyone and it was straight into it. Have been doing photography for a number of years and done some in depth course work, was wanting to try something new and push my limits a bit, after so many years of shooting music gigs with just stage light rigs, it was a test shooting in bright day light. Obi was a very chilled and knowledgeable tutor, and all present were perfectly at ease as I think they had attended previous events with him.

I thoroughly this training event and Abiodun's expertise and knowledge of photography is exceptional. He is also a very friendly and approachable person and will happily answer any of your questions. I have signed up for other training sessions in street photography with Abiodun and I look to them very much. Thank you Abiodun, Brendain Muldoon

Very enjoyable workshop. Useful to spend time considering architectural photography- not something I had done before. A small group is such a luxury and enhances learning.

This is a disused fishing house on Carrick-a-Rede island, a beautiful scenic part of the North Coast of County Antrim in N.Ireland. This was a working house until relatively recently. It was a beautiful sunny summer day and colours were loud and proud. To get to it you must cross the famous rope bridge. This whole area is full of character and history, a photographer's dream. I wanted to get as much of the scene in frame for a good photo but also to refect that this was a tough tough life and sh

Taken at Greencastle, my partner plays the guitar and it was the love of my usicnthat brought us together so being a romantic sod I done this photo to accompany a poem for her. No guitars were harmed in the making of this photo &128514The guitar I use for photoshoots is just a cheap guitar I got from marketplace. Keep meaning to buy a smaller one so it's easier to carry. Thanks for choosing my photo for this, much appreciated

Had planned on a sunrise hike but when we got up to the mournes it was foggy so plan b, we headed to Murlough. Had no tripod so just sat the camera on a big piece of driftwood to do some long exposure shots and as you see they turned out nicely. Got some cracking pix from Dundrum castle that morning too.

Groomsport, a very beautiful place, that whole part of the coast is a photographers paradise. For this photo taken just as the sun was setting I used a Nisi ND10 filter for a long exposure plus I combined a seperate high speed shot of the bird flying past which was a test ahot to ensure I was focused correctly, just to add some detail. It was actually getting dark while I was there but thanks to the dynamic range of a canon full frame it turned out great. If anyone qould like any lessons or

I was soaking in the sun on a beautiful day with my camera and zoom lens when i spotted the dragon fly on the antenna of a car parked car close to my apartment. The vivid colors and the beauty of the moment was no lost on me and i immediately zoomed in with my Tamron 70-300mm lens. I was glad the dragonfly was in no hurry to fly away. I was all smiles when i looked at the end result. The bokeh effect and beauty of the dragonfly. My camera settings were SON
